Here I was creating the text for my double page spread with the header I used the font 'bebas neue' font this is a sans serif font which means it doesn't have any flicks at the end of the text, I used this because i knew it would all fit in the boxes, and not leak over the edge, to change the fonts settings I opened the 'character' tab and adjusted some of the setting such as the angle the text is on so it looks different, to the rest and stands out.
On the right is the original un-edited image of ash, and on the left is the edited version of ash were he has been changed to black and white, I also added a hat because it suits the 'genre' which is rock, then i made it black and white because it suited the page, I gave him a coloured eye because it contrasts with him and it creates a colour scheme for the page which i followed.

Then I changed the image to black and white, by adding a black and white adjustment layer then i tweaked the setting of this layer, so i could get the correct tone that i wanted for my magazine then I changed the levels of the image so I could get the right image.
Here I was 'adjusting' the hue saturation levels of the eye I have edited, I was adjusting the levels because the flare i added in was not the colour I wanted, so i was adjusting the hue to get a different colour from the flare to get the flare over the eye I 'clipping masked' the flare to the eye and then used a blending option called 'multiply which sort of fades then together to look real then i went round with a rubber which fades the edges this makes the flare actually look like its in then eye.
